Bruckner was born in Hollywood California to a Hungarian father as well as a Russian mother, who later divorced. Her paternal grandfather is German. In Hungary, her parents first met and then immigrated into America in 1984 through an asylum settlement in Italy. She is the mother of two sisters, and one brother.
